May 31, 2019

Healthy Conflict Resolution
Do you tend to take on the responsibilities that others should be shouldering? Or, do you tend to lose your identity when around others? Do you find yourself nodding in agreement when you really don't agree at all? Perhaps, lack of boundaries is part of the problem. In this session, Pastors Joel and Carol help us to look at our need for healthy boundaries and how to respect our own limitations.
They will discuss how people who develop healthy boundaries start to feel better about themselves and enjoy healthier relationships. They will teach on how to set up healthy limits and structure that will begin to set new boundaries in place for your life.
Galatians 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free and do not and tangled again with a yoke of bondage.”
What happens in a healthy family? Healthy Communication! Pastors Joel and Carol will discuss the art of good communication and how vital it is for all of us to learn no matter what our age.
This session will provide great tools to help us become good communicators! We will discuss listening skills, how to share your feelings without exploding, and the friends and enemies of healthy communication.
James 1:9 tells us “Let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger.”
Pastors Joel and Carol help us to understand that conflict is a normal part of healthy relationships. Learning how to disagree with one another in a healthy way makes all the difference in the world. They will discuss the need to share our differences while still honoring and respecting one another's differing opinions.
This is a great session to help you learn how to stand up, speak up, and share the perspective that God has given to you, while looking to keep the relationship intact.
This session is a wonderful complement to the Healthy Communication session.
Ephesians 4:15 “... But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ”.
