As for myself, I'm coming to grips with the ugly side of me, whether disguised as Mr. Spiritual or Mr. caveman. There is hope and freedom in God as Joel and Carol have helped me embrace the joy of self-honesty, releasing my heart from hidden boloney, my own delusions and the pain of isolation, all in the warm light of our savior's grace and truth."

I will always be grateful to God for Tenderhearted Ministries and for Joel and Carol Silberman. He has used this ministry in my life to bring about healing, deliverance and restore hope by helping me establish a lifestyle of intimacy with Him. The teachings I have received there are not for the mind, but for the heart, where His transforming power can help me apprehend the truths contained in His word and make them become reality. Then, and only then, can my testimony powerfully express to a dying world around me His love and impact them with the goodness of our God.

Tenderhearted seeks to encourage, strengthen and lift up people. The weekly teachings are directed to areas that are rarely discussed in church; how to deal with anger, fear and grieving. Topics on forgiveness, making amends and boundaries have real, practical application, and are based solidly on the Word of God.
Pastors Joel and Carol exhibit the tender hearts that they speak of. Their ministry has restored many hearts and lives and continues to help our family reach the full potential and maturity that Christ has for us.

Pastors Joel and Carol teach the Word of God in power and in truth. They openly share their own life experiences, and what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for them. They encourage and equip all of us to be the people God intends us to be.
I am thankful to the Lord for the ‘tender- ministry’ that Tenderhearted Ministries has shown me. God has used this ministry to set me free from much anger and confusion.
Now as a member of the ‘Tenderhearted Team’ I have come to believe that God is ‘Nuts About Me’, and loves me just the way I am.
I believe that it is God’s desire for all of us to know that in our innermost being.
Tenderhearted has imparted truths that have transformed my heart and mind.

It has been a blessing to serve with Pastors Joel & Carol Silberman of Tenderhearted Ministry, since January 1, 2000. It has been my pleasure to be asked to minister and serve on the team. In the five years of serving with them, the evidence of change that I have noticed, affecting areas of my life and my walk with Jesus Christ, has happened in my relationship with my husband. It has become more intensified, I have grown more in love with him by learning more about his temperament, his attitudes, what makes him tick, and how to speak to him in love. I have now begun to work with my boys to re-teach them new ways to look at life especially as they are coming into teen and pre-teen years. I believe my favorite topics discussed have been the Anger and Boundaries series. Having come from a very difficult and dysfunctional childhood, there were no boundaries in any area. I have benefited immensely from these teachings. I give thanks to God for using these two beautiful Pastors to speak God's love into my life. They are my family now.

This ministry has been used of the Lord to lead me down a path of love, healing, acceptance, and self honesty that has brought freedom to many areas of my life. I definitely would not be the husband, father, and man of God I am today without the ministry of Pastors Joel and Carol and the tenderhearted fellowship. The friendship, the love, the joy, and the challenge to change, have all brought a wonderful work of God in my life.

Tenderhearted Ministries has taught me not to be afraid of love. Through this ministry I can say,"I was blind, but now I see." I was blind to the hurts and wounds in my own life. I was blind to the hurts and wounds I caused others. Tenderhearted "goes there-" to those places we are afraid of- and we come to find out that God loves and heals us right where we are, in His loving way. Tenderhearted Ministries is a gift to all who are willing to invite God to come sit and reason together with them. (Isaiah 1:18)

Tenderhearted is something I’ve felt was needed in the body of Christ for years. The teachings that are given each week are Biblically based. Pastors Joel and Carol are not only teaching me what the Bible says, but the part that many times is left out, of how to apply the lesson to my life. If I am a doer of the Word and not a hearer only it brings the healing and wholeness I long for. I can see many lives that are being touched and changed.
