Joel and Carol Silberman are Senior Pastors of Regeneration Church (Visit Site) located in Farmingdale, New York. They are founders of Tenderhearted Ministries and have a desire to see people experience the healing of the Lord Jesus Christ for their individual lives. Joel and Carol also minister to the Body of Christ as Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselors. They are members of the National Christian Counselors Association and The American Association of Christian Counselors. Joel is completing his Master’s degree in Clinical Christian Counseling and Carol is completing her Doctorate in Clinical Christian Counseling.
| Both Joel and Carol have been through the trauma of divorce. Having been raised Catholic, Carol came into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at the age of twenty seven through attending a neighborhood women’s Bible study. She learned to trust in the Lord during those challenging years of raising and providing for her two sons as a single parent. Carol believed in God’s great plan for her life based on Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good, to give you a future and a hope.” She began teaching and ministering to women through Bible study, conferences, and seminars and has continued throughout the years to minister to the broader Body of Christ. |

Joel was raised in the Jewish faith, and at the age of thirty five came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. While his spiritual journey began through the Twelve-Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous he found fulfillment through his acceptance of Jesus Christ as Messiah and attended a Messianic Congregation where he led worship for eight years. While recovering from his divorce and raising his three children, Joel became involved in prison ministry, guiding men to emotional healing while experiencing the same in his own life. He has continued to lead many groups, conferences, and seminars in the truth of God’s word that healing is for all people. Joel’s heart is to see people experience the healing spoken of in Matthew 4:23 “Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness among the people.”
This couple’s vision is to see people’s lives changed and made whole through knowing the Father’s love. Whether single or married their “Tenderhearted” message is devoted to bringing healing, wholeness, restoration, and reconciliation to the whole person. As Pastors and Counselors, they bring fresh insight and shed light on every-day relationship issues and how to process through them with the love of Christ and the truth of His Word. With Godly wisdom they teach how to apply that knowledge to daily life.
Using their own life experience and the practical application of the Bible, they bring a relevant message to the needs we all face today from raising families to resolving problems in dating and marriage. Joel and Carol minister to marriages, families, and individual lives, as well as to Pastors and Leaders with a heart to see restoration take place. Their desire is to see that the plan and purpose God has for each person is fulfilled.
Their lives are built on the truth found in Ephesians 4:32, “And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another (readily and freely), as God in Christ forgave you”. (Amplified Bible) |
